§ 00 — KitCat · Issue 2026.06

§ 01How it works

From unknown
to on-plan in one
sitting.

The first thing every CAT serious aspirant needs is a starting line they trust. Not vibes, not a guess from last semester's mock. The KitCat diagnostic gives you yours in under an hour, then keeps recalibrating with every practice you do.

I keep getting RC inference questions wrong. What's the pattern?

K

Looking at your last 12 RC attempts, you miss inferences when the answer choice restates a factfrom the passage but tweaks one quantifier. Pattern: you're anchoring on familiarity rather than logical entailment.

Try the "negation test": replace the answer's claim with its opposite — if the passage still allows that opposite, it's not an inference, it's a restatement trap.

The diagnostic was the first time anyone showed me my prep wasn't broken — just spread thin across the wrong topics.

Asked the coach to explain remainders the way I learned in school. It pulled a Quantum CAT chunk and rewrote it. Felt like a tutor, not a chatbot.

§ 08Questions

The ones we hear most often.

Couldn't find yours? Email hello@kitcat.app — a real human replies in under 24 hours.

01

Is the diagnostic really free? No card?

Yes. No login, no card, no email gate. You take all 47 questions, see your weakness map, and then we ask if you want the plan — that's where signup starts. Your answers stay anonymous; they migrate to your account if and when you sign up.

02

What makes the question bank different?

Every question is labelled by subtopic AND difficulty band. Most prep platforms label section only (VARC / DILR / QA) and let "hard" mean whatever the editor felt that day. We extracted, deduplicated, and tagged 4,725 questions from real CAT prep material so that practice can be steered at one-question resolution.

03

What is the coach? Just ChatGPT?

No. The coach is Claude Sonnet 4.6, briefed at every message with your current weakness profile and the last 10 messages in the thread. Every answer is grounded in retrieval from 49,711 indexed note chunks — and every cited source links back to the actual prep PDF you can open from Toolkit.

04

Can I cancel anytime? What happens to my data?

Cancel from /billing/manage in two clicks. You keep Pro access through the end of the period you've paid for. Personal data is deleted within 30 days of account closure; we retain anonymized practice data for product improvement (see Privacy).

05

What's your CAT score guarantee?

None. We don't promise a score — that would be dishonest given how individual study habits vary. We promise an adaptive system, an honest map, and a coach that won't waste your time. If after 30 days you don't feel that, email us and we'll refund without ceremony.

06

I'm a repeater. Does this work for me?

Especially for repeaters. Repeaters usually plateau because they're re-drilling what they already know. The diagnostic will surface the 2-3 subtopics where you're actually losing marks, then the plan keeps you there until accuracy stabilizes.

07

Mobile app?

Not yet. The web app works on mobile (tested on iOS Safari + Android Chrome). Native apps are on the roadmap for after we ship sectional mocks and the Coach v2.
